Host: Matt Scheurer

Matt Scheurer (cerkah) is the show host of the ThreatReel Podcast, and Vice President of Computer Security and Incident Response in a large enterprise environment. He has many years of hands-on technical experience. Matt is an official “Hacking is NOT a Crime” Advocate, serves on the Advisory Board for the Warren County Career Center “Information Technology and Cybersecurity” program, and also volunteers as a technical mentor for the Women’s Security Alliance (WomSA). He has presented numerous Information Security topics at countless technology meetup groups, and prominent Information Security conferences, including keynotes at the Cybersecurity Collaboration Forum Cincinnati Leadership Exchange, the Information Security Summit in Cleveland, Queen City Con (0x1, 0x2, and 0x3) in Cincinnati, and SecureWV in Charleston. He is awarded with delivering lifetime conference Keynote Addresses at Queen City Con. Matt is also a 2019 comSpark “Rising Tech Stars Award” winner, named a “Top 12 Hacking Influencer” by Bishop Fox in 2023, and awarded a “Black Badge” for continuous community engagement at Queen City Con in 2024.

Co-Host: Micah K. Brown

Micah K. Brown (micahkbrown) is co-host of the ThreatReel Podcast. By day, Micah K. Brown is a member of the IT Security Architect team at the Munich RE Group focused on building out the next generation of IT security services and IT security controls. By night, Brown serves on the Cannon Fodder Security Board as a Queen City Con Organizer and has had the honor to present at many diverse and prestigious IT security conferences

Senior Engineer: Tuan Q. Phan

Tuan Q. Phan (Phanrensics) is Senior Engineer and Producer for the ThreatReel Podcast. Tuan is also an Independent Security Researcher and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Digital Forensics, Investigation, Data Security, eDiscovery, and Insider Threat strategy. His extensive background includes Network Services, Production Lifecycle Management (PLM), Vulnerability Management, and Penetration Testing. Most recently, works for a big well-known organization, as an AVP of eDiscovery and Forensics Examiner. Tuan has many years of professional experience in Digital Forensics, including thousands of preservations in collections of both software and hardware platforms in the U.S. and Internationally. Tuan earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in Information Systems from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME), and Magnet Certified Forensic Examiner (MCFE). Tuan also has co-presented numerous info security topics at many info security conferences.
